Elopement

The Nugent's Elopement 10.15.21

Magical. Adventurous. Breathtaking. Intimate. Authentic. Cold.

How else could I describe capturing Autumn and Jordan’s Elopement in Colorado.

I always speak from the heart when it comes to writing up these blogs, and still at this moment, my heart and soul are so full of emotions from this day. It’s almost an overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude for these two amazing souls. They could have chosen anyone to capture these moments, but they choose me. They trusted my vision from day one, they trusted my word, that I would create pure magic for them. The fact that they wanted Austin and I there to be part of this moment, out of all the options they could of had, just really sparks volumes and I am so so thankful for them!

The day started early, and cold. 17 Degrees to be exact! At 3:00am on October 15 we started our two hour drive to Estes Park, stopping along the way at a gas station so Autumn could throw on some make up. Once we made it to the “spot” we helped autumn into her dress as the snow fell, and our fingers froze. After getting ready in the parking lot, we hiked up to their elopement spot, and started the “I’ do’s” were they swaped voews, and read silently to themselves. Of course they were shivering from the cold, and covered in snow by the time it was all said and done. But it was perfect. Pure perfection.

The craziest thing about this area was just how versatile Colorado was. And I think that really suited Autumn and Jordan for this experience. At the top of the park they had a foot of snow, and freezing weather, travel down a little ways and it’s about 50 degree’s with little flurry’s.

During the planning stage of this shindig, Autumn had mentioned possibly going to the Stanley Hotel were Steven King developed inspiration for the Shinning! I knew that regardless of how, we had to make it work, we needed to do this! So after the elopement at Estes park, we drove over to the Hotel, and started another round of portraits. Of course all eyes were on this beautiful couple as we roamed around the property, and not just a few either. There were far more people present than we anticipated. The beauty inside the hotel matched the exact feel of the day! It couldn’t have felt more right to utilize the hotel.

After the portraits were over, the newlyweds, Austin and I went separate ways to enjoy a little time in the city were had dinner at the cutest little restaurant and did some shopping. We ended the day back at the air bnb watching You on Netflix with my favorite couple! Talk about the best business trip!

I know my words could never express enough just how beautiful these moments were. So I hope these photos + video can do a little bit of justice. Heres to you Autumn and Jordan!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Nugent.
