So how do I describe Katie and Ryan’s wedding without sounding absolutely obsessed? I guess that’s not really possible! I don’t even know how to start it was amazing and I know I say that about pretty much every wedding and every session but, not one thing about this entire day was imperfect! Everything from the little details, the placement of the flowers, Ryan's face as Katie came down the isle, the cake, oh that cake! The extremely lively bridal party, just everything was perfect! Everything about the day is absolutely amazing and I am so blessed and so thankful that these to put their trust in their faith in me for their engagement session and for their wedding! I mean I have been dreaming about this day for months guy months, and it blows my mind how wonderful it went. I'm actually really sad that it's over. Not lying when I say I wish I could re-capture that day over and over! (There's so much I love about this day, and all the images, I've had to split this blog into two!! The first blog(this blog) is full of the day getting started, and portraits and details. The next blog is full of the ceremony and reception))

My day started off with the girls while Brandon with Rise Up Photography, my second shooter for the day (and many more weddings to come) went with the guys at the hotel! The bridal sweet where they got ready, oh my goodness I can't handle the beauty! It’s always fun and so much easier to have someone come in and do the girls makeup and hair, but there’s also something so beautiful and sweet about having everyone work together to help get ready! And that’s just what they did! The talented Hannah, worked on makeup while Lauren helped with hair! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much makeup in my life, between them all they could probably start a store. You would think it would get stressful with them having to be the on top of everything, making sure that everyone was finished by a certain time. But nope, no stressing, just laughs, and good times with this bunch!

Weddings in general, tend to be very stressful not just for the bride and groom but for the vendors that participate as well. Something always tends to occur, that wasn't expected but guys, I have to say this is like one of the most laid-back wedding that I have ever shot at! No matter what happened or what was thrown at Katie she was completely stress-free and laid-back! Just another reason why I adore her and Ryan, they were so 'go with the flow'

Something that absolutely blows my mind is that, Katie is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen! Her face, her eyes, her hair, those freckles, and that smile! She’s truly gorgeous, and its not like she’s just a pretty face, she’s smart, and has a kind hearted! I really wish she could see how much of an angel she is every day! Something that was really heartwarming for me on this wonderful day is when she was wrapping up getting ready, she had her make up on, and her hair was done, the dress was on; she stood up and looked in the mirror, and you could see in her eyes, the realization of how gorgeous and spectacular she was! Katie even voiced that!! She said that 'Out of all the days I've dressed up, and got pretty, today I truly feel beautiful' and that she felt like she looked amazing!! Her face showed just how proud of that she was! Katie owned her beauty, walking around commenting on the way she looked, and strutting her stuff, talking about how excited she was! I freaking love that, I truly wish this is how she could see herself every day because, that's how we all see her.

I’ve got to say shooting the portraits with this group of girls was nothing short of entertaining and fun! I absolutely love when I can let my creativity fly! They were all for whatever idea’s I had!

For most brides, once the ceremony starts, the most important moment for them, is that split second when the groom first see’s the bride. And oh-my-lanta, when Ryan seen Katie for the first time, it was such a picture perfect movie moment!

Before Katie came out you can tell how anxious he was to see her, he was fidgeting with his hands, biting his lip and switching from foot to foot! You know….it's the little things like that, you see when you’re a wedding photographer that open your eyes each time, to just how meaningful it to two people, to fall in love and unite as one. The very moment Katie stepped out Ryan’s face lit up and the tears started to flow! He was so happy I couldn’t handle it, that was literally the best reaction I have ever captured so far! I am utterly grateful to be put in the position to capture that!

The rest of the ceremony was absolutely beautiful! The preacher said you may now salute your wife and though that sounds like the funniest thing ever and Ryan 100% saluted his wife like he was on top of the world! Oh my gosh it was so perfect, I literally wish we could relive this day over and over and over and relieve the way he reacted to seeing her and relive the way he just grabbed her and pulled her into his arms!

While we were doing the couple portraits there was a moment where Ryan was just so enthralled with Katie and just looking at her! At one point I was trying to position him for a pose and he just wasn’t having it, he was so focused on Katie it was it was beautiful he was in an moment in his mind where he didn’t really care about pictures I’m pretty sure he didn’t care about anything other than Katie all he wanted was a hug, and to kiss his girl! You know what, that’s fine by me, I am so game for all the realness! it was perfect, absolutely perfect! I love that he was like ‘I just want my wife. She’s so beautiful’ and I was just like oh my gosh I can’t handle the romance coming out of your mouth right now but it’s perfect!!

We had so many great people there to help us with the day and let me start off by thing the venue itself was freaking gorgeous!! it’s not every day you get to shoot at a winery let alone, a winery where the owners have a breath taking bridal suite to offer! This place was phenomenal to say the least.

The reception was held inside the barn at venue, a few feet away from the winery. The set up of everything was beautiful! The day of planner, Sarah Hibbs with Confetti Company, that Katie hired did an amazing job setting everything up and keeping things organized I think that’s one of the reasons why everything went so smoothly it’s because me being super organized with Keith a planner being super organized and have everything ready to go she was on top of things she was there if you needed anything it went really great and she did such a good job designing!

Like I mentioned earlier I also had Brandon there with me he is a part-time concert photojournalist who also owns his own photography business! We had spoken not too long ago about working together and we finally got the chance to do that!! I’m super excited and very proud that he was there to be a part of that day with me! He even stayed after God bless his soul to ride in the limo with the bride and groom in their family, slightly jealous but really happy with the work he provided!

Overall the day was perfect, there are just not enough words in the dictionary to express how amazing and beautiful it was!

The food was spectacular we had Moonlight barbecue catering! Hallie Cakes provided the cutest and tastiest cakes ever!! Ryan got a hilarious acholic beverage themed cake, along with a traditional wedding cake! Huge shout out to these lovely people, for making cake that melts in your mouth!

We also had a super epic and fun DJ, Mr. Joseph Roccia with In Demand! He was so on top of things, making sure everything went really smooth, the music was heaven! I feel like the music playlist was calling to my inner 7th grade- sophomore year young self!

When I say that this was one of the best bridal parties ever I’m not lying! they put up with so much from me it’s not even funny! All the walking, and shuttering of the camera! They were such a good group of kind hearted, down to earth and super fun people and I’m super happy for Katie and Ryan to be surrounded by such amazing people filled with so much love in their lives!!
